Hi Mamas! I’m Courtney. I’m a military spouse and mama to 3 amazing littles- Adeline (7), Camden (4), Collin (1.5). I have a Bachelors in Business Admin and Marketing and am an ACE and ProNatal Fitness Certified Instructor.
Born and raised in SoCal my family currently gets to call San Marcos home. However, we lived in North Park for 4 years prior to moving to Japan for the last 2 and THAT IS where my FIT4MOM journey began. Being a military spouse, I had my oldest in Maryland right before knowing we’d be moving back to CA. I knew I needed to find something to make mom friends and get “back in shape”. I was watching the Today Show and Lisa Druxman (our Founder and my current co-instructor-Wild!) came on to talk about Stroller Strides. I was instantly hooked. As soon as we got settled in SD I signed up for my first class at Balboa Park back in 2017 and I have been here ever since!
One year into being a client, I found a deep passion for fitness and I jumped in as an instructor. I started teaching classes at Mission Bay and have taught at every location SD had to offer, from Coronado all the way up to Oceanside. I also teach many of our program formats including: Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, Strides 360, and Body Boost. In case you’re wondering, Stroller Strides has my heart .
Now back to that part about the military and Japan. We found out we’d be moving in the summer of 2021 and I was devastated to be leaving mine and my kid’s friend group at FIT4MOM. But, I am here to tell you JUST how amazing this community is. Some of my very best friends have been made through F4M and without a doubt the same goes for my kids. While I couldn’t work out physically with friends we stayed connected through FIT4MOM onDemand and Facebook. As soon as we were told that we were going back to SD, I knew exactly what we would be doing. Not even a week after moving back I signed back up to be an instructor and here I am- again!
I could never imagine my life as a Mom without FIT4MOM. It has shaped me and given me purpose in so many ways and I am a better mom for giving myself a healthy lifestyle both mentally and physically. I love meeting all the new babies and littles and supporting moms in motherhood, no matter where they are on their fitness journeys or if they just want a pretty amazing friend group. And in true tired mom-life form, if you want to grab a coffee after class I will never say no!
